A New Frontier

Life has been good in the Botello household besides one new little detail. Siena has begun teething. She actually hasn't been too bad, but she is definitely a lot more fussy. I guess I'm just not used to her acting this way. A few nights have been rough, but I feel we are starting to get the hang of it. She always wants to put her fingers in her mouth. Teething rings work sometimes, but I guess in her book, fingers work best. Her bottom gum is swollen and now is proceeded by tons of slobber, but we have yet to see any teeth poking through. Also, her eyes are getting lighter. We really feel they will be hazel like Tommy's, but I'm still holding out for green or dark blue.


We also broke out her Johnny Jumper since she is starting to sit up well. Unfortunately, with her teething, this is all it looks like.

She is content the whole time she's in it, but she rarely does any jumping yet. She does love twirling around, though.

She has also started sitting in her walker, now. Her feet can hit the floor now! She loves playing with her toys on it. She can move in the walker, but it tends to be more backwards than forward.

On a side note, we're really excited to take her to Boo at the Zoo this coming weekend. We haven't picked up a costume for her, yet, but you can bet we will be posting some pictures of her all decked out.

Family Photo Shoot!

This past Sunday, we had our first official family photo shoot. I was so excited to post the pictures to show you all. Tommy did such a great job. He really has an awesome eye for photography. Siena, on the other hand, wasn't in much of a picture-taking mood. We rarely got her to smile; then, when we did, she would get excited and move her hands and feet and the picture would be really blurry. We still managed to get some good natural shots, though.

Day at the Park..

This past Saturday, we took our youth group to the park to play games. his ended up being Siena's first trip to the park. It was chillier than we anticipated in the morning. Tommy, being the sweet daddy he is, took off his fleece jacket and made Siena a wrap. She was too cute, I had to snap a picture.

She loved riding around in her stroller and taking in the sights. Another first for her was encountering the ducks! She loved watching them. Soon after we got there, we walked toward one and it "quacked" really loud and flew away. She got such a kick out of that new noise. I look forward to many more trips to the park to feed the ducks and take a walk.

Also, I have thrown in a few pictures of Siena in one of her new dresses from Grammy. We did have a brown cardigan on her to keep her warm, but I took it off for pictures because I just love seeing the dress! She looked so much older! As you can tell from some of the pictures, she loved looking at the pattern, too! lol
